Career coaching is offered to anyone who is not sure of his/her direction within an organisation. They might be really good at their job but their enthusiasm has dropped. They might be bored or disinterested in their present role but don’t know how to change it. When asked what they want to do instead, they are unsure.
- We can help the client identify his/her strengths and weaknesses, likes, dislikes, transferable skills, preferred working environment and assess whether they are in the correct position to maximise their potential.
- We can offer psychometric tools to help us identify the client’s preferred way of working and relating to others. We recommend Discus as a tool to kick-start the coaching process. Workscales can also provide other assessment tools, such as 360 degree feedback assessments and Myers Briggs.
- We can help the employee develop a career path and work towards his own objectives, in line with company objectives. As a result, the employee will become more motivated and a keen advocate for his company.
- Occasionally the employee discovers that the organisation he works for is not for him and leaves. Although this may not have been the desired effect, it is a natural “fall out” from personal development. From a company perspective, it is better to have someone who fits in with their ethics, values and beliefs rather than try to fit a square peg into a round hole!
